Naomi Rodgers (“Frozen”) and Zurin Villanueva (“The Lion King,” “Mean Girls,” “Shuffle Along,” “The Book of Mormon”) both take the role of Tina Turner. 

Additional members of the cast include: Roz White as Zelma Bullock (Tina’s mother), Ann Nesby as Gran Georgeanna (Tina’s grandmother), Lael Van Keuren as Rhonda (Tina’s friend and manager), Lillian Charles as Young Alline (Tina’s sister), Max Falls as Erwin Bach/ ensemble (Music Sales turned Tina’s lover), Zachary Freier- Harrison as Roger Davies/ ensemble (Music Producer) and Parris Lewis as Alline/ Ikette (Tina’s sister and a backup singer).

History and Awards

TINA – The Tina Turner Musical premiered in the West End on 17 April 2018 at London’s Aldwych Theatre. During its debut, it was nominated for an impressive three Laurence Olivier Awards, including the coveted Best Musical. The following year, it opened on Broadway on 7 November 2019.

Up to now, the jukebox musical has received 23 award nominations. TINA – The Tina Turner Musical proudly wears the crown for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical (Adrienne Warren), Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Actress in a Musical (Adrienne Warren) and Outstanding Wig and Hair Design (Campbell Young Associates). And if that wasn’t enough, it’s also secured five Honorees for Outer Critics Circle Awards. These include: Outstanding New Broadway Musical, Outstanding Choreographer (Anthony Van Laast), Outstanding Actress in a Musical (Adrienne Warren), Outstanding Featured in a Musical (Daniel J.
