Step into the world of Middle-earth this summer when Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring In Concert comes to Bass Concert Hall on Sunday, June 14th, 2026. Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring In Concert is a unique theatrical event in which the legendary film of Peter Jackson’s is performed live in concert by a full symphony orchestra playing the complete score by Academy Award winner Howard Shore in real time. The event is a true masterpiece bringing the magic of this iconic film to life in a whole new way with the music of one of the greatest film scores of all time performed live by an incredible group of talented musicians.
The show will be performed live in concert with the entire film shown and all of the music performed live by a full orchestra in synchrony with the award winning film. Many of the scores that were written for the Fellowship of the Ring are considered some of the best written for any film and include “The Breaking of the Fellowship”, “Concerning Hobbits”, “The Bridge of Khazad-dûm” and many more. Howard Shore is one of the leading film composers in Hollywood today and continues to write music for films today. He received 3 Academy Awards, 4 Grammy Awards and 2 Golden Globes for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The music for the Lord of the Rings trilogy was written for over nine hours and included the musical motifs of all the cultures in Middle-earth.
Bass Concert Hall is a facility located at 2350 Robert Dedman Drive in Austin, Texas. With over 3,000 seats, the venue consists of a main orchestra seating area, a mezzanine level, and a large balcony. Each section provides an optimal view of the screen and the performers on stage, as well as being a climate-controlled hall providing access to facilities and services such as concessions throughout the show.
