Synopsis
WRITTEN BY 2022 TONY AWARD® WINNERS Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six is a pop concert musical that retells the stories of Henry VIII’s six wives from their own perspectives. It transforms their tragic stories into a celebration of female empowerment. The show features the six queens — Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr. They each try to prove who had the toughest life, but then realize they can change the story by coming together as a strong, united group.
At the start of the show, the six women argue with one another as they attempt to make out they had it worse. But as they listen to each other’s stories, they open their hearts and realise it’s much better to stick together.
Six The Musical features an all-female cast, as well as an all-female and on-stage, pop-fueled band known as the “Ladies in Waiting.”
