SYNOPSIS

Are you curious about the eccentric and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby – the owner of the million dollar mansion opposite the lake – the one with the green light?

Rumor has it that in a slightly obsessive effort to reignite the fire between him and his long-lost love – socialite Daisy Buchanan, now married to another rich man – Jay Gatsby bought the mansion opposite hers, and is throwing lavish parties with the hopes that she will attend one day. On the other end, Daisy’s middle-class cousin moves into a small house next to the mansion of Jay Gatsby, with the goal to befriend the mysterious millionaire.

Intrigue, lavish parties that spare no expense, drama, love and obsession, materialism, class-differences, and of course, doing the charleston while the world is ending – it’s all yours in North America’s new favorite thing – THE GREAT GATSBY: THE MUSICAL! Kait Kerrigan’s book is simply superb, Jason Howland’s music hits the spot, and Nathan Tysen’s brilliant and clever lyrics land deep – and it’s almost as though F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel was always meant to be sung and danced.

“This show is for everyone seeking a fun song-and-dance-filled time.” – New York Theatre Guide
