He’s more than just your high-profile romantic comedy lead. Dane Cook has a long history in stand-up comedy. In fact, he has successfully published six comedy efforts, and they’re all regarded as megahits among stand-up comedy enthusiasts. Before hitting it big in Hollywood, Cook did his due diligence in ensuring his improv and stand-up skills were honed. He has consistently made his rounds in the local comedy circuits. One can pretty much say that he has more than paid his due. Two years as a stand-up comedian, Cook began appearing in high-profile gigs, such as WBCN’s Rock of Boston’s music concert, where he performed right before legendary progressive band Phish took the stage.

By 1998, Cook had scored one of the biggest breaks of his career, an appearance at Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. Two years later, Cook performed his first half-hour special with the Network Comedy Central Presents. In the early 2000s, Cook has become one of the fastest-rising stand-up comedians in the circuit. He has released his first comedy special, Harmful if Swallowed, followed by Retaliation in 2005. Both efforts earned platinum status, but Retaliation has notably scored double platinum and was recorded to be the first comedy album, at the time, to enter the Top 5 of the Billboard chart in 27 years.

In 2005, Cook released his first HBO special, Vicious Circle, followed by a highly-awaited hosting at the Saturday Night Live in the same year. His exemplary work has earned him numerous accolades,s including being called Hot Comic of the Year by Rolling Stone.

Today, Dane Cook continues to tour nationally and internationally when he’s not starring in popular sitcoms and feature films. His stand-up comedy tours have received rave reviews from both fans and critics. Cook has been praised for his impeccable timing, uncanny observations, and often vulgar sense of humor. It’s all good fun, and it’s guaranteed to have you laughing like there’s no tomorrow. Of course, you would expect nothing less from a veteran stand-up comedian! So quickly score tickets now to catch Dane Cook tearing it up at the Bass Concert Hall on Sunday, 29th October 2023! Tickets are now up for grabs!
